Those two words are killing me right now. I never thought I got used to the time change in Europe, but now that I am home, I can tell that it will be hard to readjust.
At least the only thing that I am having a hard time adjusting to is the time change. I have been married to Joseph Aaron Fugate for 19 days and have been loving every single second of it; I love spending all my time with him and experiencing life with him. I spent the first two days of marriage at Pratt Place Inn in Fayetteville (a place that I have been obsessed with and that Joseph surprised me with!!!), and since I was there on my birthday, room service brought me a birthday muffin for breakfast! It was amazing. Then my husband and I spent the next sixteen days in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic and Austria! Although it was all a whirlwind, breath-taking experience, I am more than glad to be back home in our comfy little apartment in Bentonville, Arkansas.
The next few days are sure to be filled with unpacking suitcases and getting our apartment put together with all of our new things. As exhausted as I am, I am so excited to finally call this place home. Joseph lived alone in this apartment before the wedding, so it will take some time to change the bachelor pad into a newlywed apartment! At least my husband is excited about the change too....he might actually be more excited about decorating with all of our new things than I am!
It seems like i have been going 100 mph since even before the wedding, but now that everything has slowed down, I can reminisce on how thankful I am. I am so thankful for my husband! My life as a wife has so far been exceptional. I am thankful for my parents that did everything under the sun to ensure that I had my dream wedding. I am thankful for family and friends that spent hours decorating and crafting and keeping me sane. I am thankful that I got to spend 2 weeks in Europe!!! I am thankful for all the wedding presents that we have opened and played with today....such as cooking waffles in our new waffle iron, eating on new plates with our new silverware. cooking spaghetti in new pots (if you can't tell, we only tackled the kitchen stuff today!). I have truly been blessed with so, so much!
Life is but a dream, and all of my dreams are coming true :)
